The object of The Boys' Brigade is "The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards true Christian manliness."
The Brigade meets on Wednesday evenings with the Anchor Boys (P2-P4) meeting in First Dromara, from 6.45pm – 8.00pm, the Junior Section (P5-P7) in Second Dromara, from 7.00pm – 8.15pm and the Company Section (year 8 plus) in First Dromara, from 7.30pm – 9.00pm.
The Anchor Boys are the youngest section in The Boys’ Brigade. We have lots of fun doing different activities which include Bible stories, crafts, music, games, sports, making friends and working towards our badges.
The Juniors take part in a programme made up of a variety of activities, which include games, sporting activities, craft, quizzes, cookery, marching/drill and Bible time, and many of these activities contribute towards their award badges which are presented at the annual inspection.
For our older boys, it’s all about learning new skills, making your own decisions and having fun. BB provides a safe environment to explore new possibilities and achieve personal goals while making friends and having adventures.
